This is a recipe I did for a blog last year, but I do make it often, as everyone loves it.
Cooked pasta of your choice ( I used 500 gm of uncooked spaghetti for 6 of us)
1 cup cream
1 cup milk
1 Tbs flour or potato flour
125g sliced mushrooms (fresh)
1/2 cup finely diced Fry’s vegetarian polony
1 small onion finely chopped
2 tsp butter or oil (only enough for sautéing)
1 or 2 garlic cloves crushed
1 tsp Italian herb blend Dried
Salt and pepper to taste
Boil up the cream and milk
While this is happening sauté the onion and garlic add the diced polony and the herbs in the butter.
Add the mushrooms and cook for another 2 minutes.
Take your flour and using some of the hot cream sauce make a paste and then mix it back into the cream.
Combine everything together, season with salt and pepper and simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce is slightly thick, pour over pasta and serve.
Serve with a green salad.
